When performing the programming steps this is positioned over the three buttons that have LCD arrows to locate the “Heading”, “Show”, “Next”, and “Back” buttons.

Program System Speed Dial Numbers? (Norstar Only)

    - Use the Norstar Programming Overlay
  1. Press Feature (button with globe icon) **23646
  1. Password  = 23646
  1. Display will show: Terminals&Sets - Press “Next” three times
  1. Display will show: Sys Speed Dial – Press “Show”
  1. Display will show: Speed Dial # - Press 01 or the speed dial number you want to change (CICS=001-100, MICS=001-255 or 01-70)
  1. Press “Show”
  1. Display will show: No Number or the current number programmed
  1. Press “Change” and enter the telephone number
  1. Press “OK”
  1. Press “Heading” if you wish to enter another speed dial number or
  1. Press RLS to terminate the session

 

 

Program System Time? (Norstar Only) (Phone & Voice Mail)

    - Use the Norstar Programming Overlay
  1. Press Feature (button with globe icon) **8463 (TIME)
  1. Password  = 266344
  1. Press “Change”
  1. Enter the hour
  1. Press OK or “Change” for AM or PM
  1. At Minutes press “Change”
  1. Press “Next”
  1. Press “change”, enter the Year
  1. Press “Next”
  1. Press “change”, enter the Month
  1. Press “Next”
  1. Press “change”, enter the Day
  1. Press RLS to terminate the session

 

 

Program Name on a Phone? (Norstar Only)

    - Use the Norstar Programming Overlay
  1. Press Feature (button with globe icon) **23646
  1. Password  = 23646
  1. Display will show: Terminals&Sets - Press “Show”
  1. Enter the Set (extension) number
  1. Press “Show”
  1. Press “Next” twice
  1. Press “Change”
  1. Enter the person’s name (up to seven characters) using the numeric keypad, pressing each key repeatedly until the proper letter appears; press the “#” key to move a space
  1. Press “Next” to save the name
  1. Press “Heading” if you wish to enter another name or
  1. Press RLS to terminate the session

  1. Enter 2 or 3 digit speed dial code (80-99 = personal) or (600-699 = System: programmed from extension 10 or 11)
  1. Enter number to be dialed
  1. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for additional numbers
  1. Press Feature, 0, 0  when finished

Program speed dial numbers?
System speed dials are programmed from operators console:
(Phone model MLX20L or 4424D+)

  1. Place handset on hook
  1. Press Menu
  1. Press System Programming
  1. Press Exit
  1. Press More
  1. Press Labeling
  1. Press Directory
  1. Press System
  1. Dial the three digit speed dial code (600-729)
  1. Type in the label (name) for the speed dial
  1. Press Enter
  1. Dial the phone number (note that the phone number can include the dial out codes, typically 9)
  1. Press Enter
  1. Press Home when finished

 



Program Personal speed dials (that work only on your phone) from MLX / Digital phones
  1. Place handset on hook
  1. Press Feature, 0, 0
  1. Press  #
  1. Dial the two digit speed dial code (01-24)
  1. Press  * 2 1
  1. Dial the phone number
  1. Press  ##

 

 

Program Personal speed dials (that work only on your phone) from Classic Merlin phones

  1. Place handset on hook
  1. Slide the T/P switch to P (located on side of phone)
  1. Press #
  1. Enter the two digit speed dial code (01-24)
  1. Press  * 2 1
  1. Dial the phone number
  1. Slide the T/P switch to center when finished

 

 

Use speed dial numbers?

  1. Access an outside line
  1. Press Feature (Note: To program a 'Feature' button on a Classic Merlin phone slide the T/P switch to P, press a blank button, *20, slide the T/P switch to center & label the new button)
  1. Dial the 2 or 3 digit code

  1. Dial Intercom, #657, 92, extension number, Redial, Speaker

Turn a flashing Msg button off?

  1. Place handset on hook
  1. Dial Intercom, #409, Speaker

  1. Enter time = HHMMSS in military / 24-hour format
  1. Press Redial

Turn ringing off in the handset?
